Dr. Orcutt rejoined the US-Asia Technology Management
Center at Stanford University in March 2006. She previously served
as Program Director for the US-JTMC from 1994-96. She has additionally
served as Assistant Director for Stanford’s Center on Polymer
Interfaces and Macromolecular Assemblies (CPIMA), an NSF-funded
MRSEC Center.
Dr. Orcutt recently received her Ed.D. in Educational Technology
from Pepperdine University. She wrote her doctoral dissertation
on “School-University Partnership Strategies for K-12 Science
Education.” While pursuing her doctorate both on campus and
online, she managed the development of an Annenberg/CPB video-and
Web-based course for teacher education and professional development
within Stanford’s School of Education.
Dr. Orcutt also co-established an internationally
recognized non-profit organization, “Paintbrush Diplomacy,”
to promote student art exchanges in over fifty countries. She began
her career teaching 2nd through 8th grade in public and private
schools. |
