Farrokh Billimoria
Partner, Artiman Ventures

Prior to co-founding Artiman Ventures, a $165M early stage venture capital fund, Farrokh was a General Partner at the Sprout Group (CSFB Venture affiliate) a $1b fund. Prior to the Sprout Group, Farrokh was a Wall Street Equity Analyst at Hambrecht & Quist covering the communications and technology sector, where he was ranked as an All-Star Analyst by the Wall Street Journal for a number of years. He was actively involved in the corporate finance and venture capital initiatives at H&Q. Previously; he was an equity analyst at Unterberg Towbin. Prior to joining Unterberg Towbin, he held a number of executive positions including VP of Network Engineering at Bankers Trust for 8 years. Farrokh is a regular speaker at various conferences and industry shows such as John McQuillan's ATM and NGN Conference, Silicon India, Asian Venture Capital Forum and TiE. In addition, he has written for Internet week and is often quoted in the Indian and US press.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from College of Engineering, Poona, India and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey.
