Bio: Virginia Chang Kiraly

Virginia Chang Kiraly joined The Nasdaq Stock Market, in their Menlo Park, California office, as a Senior Director in September, 2000. She is involved with business development in the areas of initial public offerings, spin-offs, and switches from the NYSE and other competitors. Virginia also serves as a liaison to Nasdaq-listed companies by providing guidance to senior management on matters relating to the capital markets, analyst coverage, regulatory requirements, and investor relations programs. Prior to joining The Nasdaq Stock Market, Virginia was an Investment Executive at PaineWebber in Silicon Valley, where she specialized in corporate services and focused on stock compensation plans and corporate cash management. While at Alex. Brown & Sons, she was in retail sales and trading and worked with technology companies in trading for their stock compensation plans. At Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards, she was a Research Associate in the Equities Research Department and provided technical analysis and forecasting. She was also worked in Institutional Fixed Income Sales and Trading as a Sales Associate at Bear Stearns in San Francisco. Virginia began her professional career as a Research Associate in the High-Yield Bond Department at Drexel Burnham Lambert in Beverly Hills. In addition to her financial background, Virginia attended law school and clerked with the California Attorney General's Office in Los Angeles in the antitrust department. During her tenure as Investor Relations Manager at Stapleton Communications, Virginia worked with many technology companies in Silicon Valley in strategically positioning them for sell-side analyst coverage and more institutional investor awareness. Virginia is actively involved with many philanthropic organizations in Silicon Valley, including The Tech Museum of Innovation; the Community Foundation of Silicon Valley's venture philanthropy fund, SV2; and the San Jose Symphony. Originally from Austin, Texas, Virginia received her B.A. in Government and Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband, Ken, have two sons and live in Menlo Park, California. |
