SMEA promulgated ‰gGuidelines for Encouraging the Establishment of Small-medium Enterprise Incubator Centers in the Public and Private Sectors‰h in 1996.
ITRI operated the first incubator center in Taiwan in 1996.
There were 50 incubator centers in Taiwan by the end of 2000.
