FALL 2003 SEMINAR / PUBLIC LECTURE SERIES

Topics in International Technology Management:
Doing Business With Your Technology in Asia

Abstract

Elizabeth Wadium , Export Administration Specialist
United States Department of Commerce

In today's world, industry and security are more closely intertwined than ever before. Industry is dependent on the security of our borders, transportation systems, and computer networks; government is dependent on a vibrant private sector working in partnership with it to promote economic well-being. This partnership is especially important in the area of export controls. On November 20, Elizabeth Wadium of the Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of Commerce, will give a presentation on export controls and export licensing requirements, especially as they relate to Asia. She will also discuss export controls on the transfer of technology.
