Etsuko Kagawa
Director, Product Strategies, Japan

Symantec Corporation

Ms. Etsuko Kagawa is the Director of Product Strategies for Japan at the Symantec Corporation, a world leader in Internet security. She is responsible for product marketing of security solutions into the Japanese market, working closely with business units and central marketing in the US.

Ms. Kagawa joined the Symantec Corporation in 1994, when the company opened a subsidiary in Japan, Symantec Japan, Ltd. She supported various phases of business development and office establishment from the headquarters. Later, she moved into a position to manage product marketing, including conducting market analysis, developing business plans, coordinating localization of products, and planning of actual marketing activities. She also worked at the Japan office for two years as the Director of Corporate Marketing.

Ms. Kagawa has experience in start up companies in San Francisco as Director of International Business Development, in the area of content-based portal for the education market and e-commerce software application for service providers. Prior to joining Symantec she worked for Apple Computer Japan managing several marketing programs and projects.

Ms. Kagawa earned a MBA from Stanford University, California, and also has a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan.
