James G. Shook, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President & Chief Development Officer
Quark Biotech, Inc.

Industry veteran with over 30 years of very broad development and regulatory experience encompassing pre-clinical and clinical development activities as well as regulatory affairs, QA/QC,   manufacturing and marketing research.  Managed and assisted in the preparation of 28 NDAs and 2 PLAs (now BLAs), which were approved upon initial submission.  Prior to Quark Dr. Shook worked as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Regulatory Affairs at Athersys, Inc., as Senior Vice President of Development and Regulatory Affairs at Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  At  Fujisawa USA, Inc ., Dr. Shook served  as  Vice President of the Research and Development,  and prior to that at Genetech as Director of Data Management and Biostatistics and at Abbott laboratories as Director of Research Management.  

Dr. Shook holds memberships in professional organizations and honor societies. Dr. Shook received his M.Sc. at the University of Arkansas Fayetteville, Arkansas and his Ph. D from the University of Missouri Columbia, Missouri.
