Novel Materials and Devices for Nano- Electronics

 

Prof. Peter Peumans

Prof. Peumans joined the Electrical Engineering Department at Stanford as an Assistant Professor in January 2004 after obtaining his Ph.D from Princeton University. At Princeton, Peter worked with Steve Forrest on organic photosensitive devices such as photodetectors and solar cells. His work lead to several high-efficiency organic solar cell device architectures. Peter is a Robert N. Noyce faculty scholar and a recipient of an NSF CAREER award. Peter obtained his undergraduate degree from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Electrical Engineering in 1998. He also spent some time at IMEC. His current research interests include Organic Electronics, new devices/systems built from Silicon, Organics on Silicon, and Molecular Electronics.
