Dr. Bevan Wu, Principal
BW & Associates
Bios:
In 33 years of
experience at IBM, Dr. Wu managed projects in semiconductor
product development, automated IC manufacturing systems, and
expert systems for manufacturing applications. He implemented the
first IBM automated IC manufacturing system in 1973. Taking early
retirement, he began the consulting firm BW & Associates in 1992.
Dr. Wu led a team of ITRI engineers to complete Philips' automated
$350M color monitor tube plant in Hsinchu, Taiwan, which went into full
production 16 months after ground breaking. From 1999 to 2001 he was
CEO of Lexel Laser, Inc. in Fremont, CA. He is currently Senior
Advisor to ITRI International USA, Member at Large of SEMI North
American Standards Regional Committee, and Adviser to SEMI
International StandardsCommittee.
