Kyoko Ii

 

Biography:

Kyoko Ii joined the US-Asia Technology Management Center at Stanford University in September 2006, dispatched by Kumamoto Prefectural Government, Japan. She previously was a corporate affiliate visiting fellow at Shorenstein Asia Pacific Research Center at Stanford University for 2004-2006. Since 1999, she has worked for the Industrial Recruitment and Location Division of the Kumamoto Prefectural Government in Japan, with a mission to promote foreign direct investment into the region. In this capacity, she has worked with foreign companies who succeeded in establishing operations in Kumamoto. Prior to this position, she worked at the Kumamoto Prefectural Government in international affairs, planning, welfare, and distribution. Kyoko Ii has received B.A. and M.A. degrees from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Kyoko Ii is serving as President for Silicon Valley Japanese English Toastmasters Club (SVJETS) from July 2006.
