Biography:
Dr. Jinwhan Lee is a business development principal of Samsung SDS, the leading IT services company in Korea. He has been carrying out researches on trends and future evolution of information technologies and their ecosystem. He has special interests in public and private services models and their supporting technologies under the ubiquitous computing environment.
Dr. Lee has over 10 years of professional career in Samsung SDS, mostly as an IT consultant and a business development manager. He helped many high-tech companies and public organizations in setting up their IT strategic plans. For recent years, he was in charge of new business development of Samsung SDS, and launched a series of new business areas preparing the forthcoming ubiquitous age. They are ubiquitous city, engineering outsourcing, RFID enabled IT services, digital contents management and delivery services and etc.
Dr. Lee received his Ph.D in industrial engineering from Penn State University in 1996. He also received his MS and BS in mechanical engineering from Seoul National University in 1989 and 1987 respectively. He also served as a research scientist in CAD/CAM Research Lab of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (1990 ~ 91). He has expertise in traditional and emerging IT technologies and their various industrial applications.
