Biography:
Dr. Mitsuishi is an Associate Professor of
Educational Informatics,
Tohoku University, Japan. He came to the US-Asia Technology
Management Center in October 2006, where he is studying higher education teaching
methodologies
and computer educational technologies. His research is part of a Tohoku University program, the
International Cooperative Research Project for Higher Education.
Dr.
Mitsuishi is studying
the Double Loop Instructional Design Process model
for
interactive instruction in class and for real-time distance
education. He is developing an interactive presentation system, IMPRESSION, which
facilitates a teacher to interact with students using shared
multi-media educational materials provided on the Internet and to review online instruction.
Dr. Mitsuishi received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Tohoku University in 1998. He also received his M.S. in Computer Science (1995) and his B.S. in Engineering (1993) from Tohoku University. He served as Research Associate of Software and
Information, Iwate Prefectural University, Japan from 1998-2002.
