Creating Value with AI: Its Path to Adoption in Business and Daily Life
US-ATMC Director Dr. Richard Dasher’s most recent trip to Japan included moderating a panel discussion with Shane Gu, Research Scientist & Manager at Google DeepMind and Cory Ondrejka, CTO of SmartNews, Inc. at the G1 Global Conference 2024. The three spoke on “Creating Value with AI: Its Path to Adoption in Business and Daily Life”. Much like assembly-line manufacturing marked the advent of a Second Industrial Revolution in the late 19th Century, Artificial Intelligence looks to be the beginning of a huge shift in the current Digital Industrial Revolution as a major new tool for capturing value from digital data. Value creation with AI may come from analysis or automation. This panel examined how AI is being used across industries and in daily life to create value. The panelists also discussed factors in the mass adoption of AI, including its effects on current business models, user interfaces, and concerns about privacy and regulatory risks.
