Speakers

George Chao

Co-Founder, Silicon Valley Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum

George Chao is the Co-Founder of SVIEF (Silicon Valley Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum) and is the Manager of Advanced and Clean Tech Manufacturing for Manex, with 10 years of business development experience in the cleantech/green tech and high tech manufacturing areas. He assists companies in finding capital resources and developing business strategies with a focus on the fields of bio, technology and renewable energy manufacturing. He has extensive technical knowledge in Renewable Energy and Physics and worked closely with the UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Labs on Energy Conferences and Advanced Manufacturing events. Mr. Chao also spent six years as an IC Design Engineer at the Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, working with a team of scientists and physicists on several important energy and physics projects. He is also the VP for the US China Green Energy Council and serves on the advisory board for Camp BizSmart, the world’s premiere business and entrepreneur academy for “Tweenpreneurs” ages 11 to 15.

Dr. Xiao Wang

Co-Founder, InnoSpring

Dr. Xiao Wang is the Co-Founder of InnoSpring Silicon Valley and Managing General Partner of InnoSpring Seed Fund. She also is the Director of International Partnership at InnoSpring Inc. headquartered in Shanghai and the Director of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (North America). Dr. Wang raised and managed two funds at InnoSpring that are backed by seven of the largest venture capital firms in the world, including Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers, IDG Capital Partners, Northern Light Venture Partners, Softbank China, China Broadband Capital and GSR Ventures, each with $1B under management. Dr. Wang also co-founded China America Innovation Network (CHAIN), a professional non- profit organization envisioned to help transform innovation into value through fostering entrepreneurship in 2011. She is an honored associate member of Tsinghua Entrepreneur and Executive Club (TEEC) and the president of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California (THAA-NC).
