Chenyang Xu, Ph.D.
IEEE Fellow, President of Perception Vision Medical Technologies, Co-Founder of Silicon Valley Future Academy and Brightway Future Capital, Former GM and CTO of Siemens North America Technology Venture Arm (TTB)
Dr. Chenyang Xu, based out of Silicon Valley and Guangzhou China, is an internationally recognized global technology and business leader. He is a well-sought speaker on technology, innovation, and leadership especially on artificial intelligence, healthcare technologies, entrepreneurship, and disruptive/open innovation. He is an elected IEEE Fellow, recognized for his pioneering research and leadership contribution in the field of AI and healthcare fields.
He is currently the President of Guangzhou-based Perception Vision Medical Technologies and a co-founder of Palo Alto-based Silicon Valley Future Academy and Brightway Future Capital. He currently serves on the advisory board of the Johns Hopkins University Biomedical Engineering Department, IEEE The Institute, and the Youth AI Lab. He formerly served on the advisory board of UC Berkeley’s EECS Department (2009-2017). He also serves as board directors/venture advisors of several AI technology startups in US, Asia, and Europe. Between 2009 and 2017, he was the General Manager and Chief Technology Officer of Siemens Technology to Business responsible for global early-stage startup partnership and investment. He previously headed various global technology leadership roles in healthcare.
He earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in 1995 and 1999, and his B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China, respectively.
