In this fireside chat, Tim Romero will discuss the differences between how
large firms in Japan and the U.S. engage in innovation relationships
with startup companies, and how this landscape for open innovation
has been changing in Japan as the startup ecosystem grows.

Seminars will take place on Tuesdays from March 29th – May 31st. These sessions are open to the public and registration is required to receive the Zoom login details.
All seminars will be held online via Zoom, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM, with informal networking following until about 7:30 PM (PST).

Tim Romero
Founder, Disrupting Japan (podcast) and Head, Google for Startups, Japan
Tim Romero is Head of Google for Startups Japan and host of the Disrupting Japan podcast. Tim is deeply involved in Japan’s startup community as an investor, founder, author and educator, and he has founded several startups in Japan over the past 25 years. Tim has also taught entrepreneurship and corporate innovation at NYU’s Tokyo campus and worked with TEPCO and other Japanese enterprises on startup engagement and innovation strategy.
