WEBINAR – Different Models? Entrepreneurship in Asia and Silicon Valley

In our webinar, our panelists discuss the extent to which Silicon Valley patterns of startup company hypergrowth can be applied across different innovation systems and business cultures of Asia.  In Silicon Valley, startups that receive venture capital funding typically aim at extremely large increases in their equity valuation by the time of exit.  Similarly large increases in share value may not be possible in some Asian economies, in which investors tend to emphasize earlier revenue generation and entrepreneurs tend to keep much larger ownership shares until exit.  The discussion also addresses how Silicon Valley models might be localized for such dynamics and how Silicon Valley investors can best gain from being active in different entrepreneurship ecosystems.
