Prof. Gupta’s mission is to expand the global as well as local space for innovations from and for grassroots, link ideas in informal and formal sector; to ensure recognition, respect and reward for creative communities, individuals, children and tech students, and to augment open innovations by individuals, institutions, corporations, and countries through frugal, flexible and friendly empathetic platforms.
He facilitated the Festival of Innovation & Entrepreneurship (FINE) through NIFindia.org, hosted by the office of President of India at The President’s House ( March 19-23, 2018) and Festival of Innovation (2015-2017); pursues research on inclusive, frugal and Grassroots Innovations, sustainable natural and institutional resource management, building global value chain to get the grassroots and youthful creativity its due; promote originality and industrial, social, environmental connect among technology/engineering/biotech students (techpedia.sristi.org), SRISTI awards young tech students gyti.techepdia.in in collaboration with BIRAC, DBT.
Prof. Gupta engages in unlocking individual, institutional and community creativity through empathetic open reciprocal innovations at national and international level. He also supports strategic organizations for making breakthroughs innovations. He has pursued 43 Shodhyatras, learning walks in every state of India once covering more than 5000 km during 1998-2016 and has started second round from 2017 onwards along with Honey Bee Network volunteers.
He received his Masters in Sciences in Biochemical Genetics from Haryana Agricultural University and earned a Ph.D. in Management from the Kurukshetra University.
