New Platforms for Development Solutions

In this week’s session, we will examine how new platforms for development including a crowdsourced solution by, CrowdANALYTIX, an India-based company which encompasses a community of data scientists, are one new approach for people to develop the custom analytics that Algorithm.io’s platform enables.

Questions to be addressed in the session include:

* How these evolving solutions are impacting the value chains that are forming around big data analytics?

* How moving data science techniques to the cloud is disrupting traditional sales and development cycles?

* What are the prospects for big data analytics in Asia?

Andy Bartley, Co-Founder & CEO, Algorithms.io

Andy Bartley is currently CEO of Algorithms.io.  Algorithms.io makes sense of streaming sensor data from connected devices.  Companies in the healthcare, wearables, and manufacturing sectors use Algorithms.io to turn streaming data into real-time decisions. Prior to Algorithms.io Andy spent two years working in angel investing and early stage venture capital at The Angels’ Forum, The Halo Fund, and VoiVoda Ventures.  Andy started his career in the medical device industry where he held a number of engineering and operational roles.  Andy has an MBA from Santa Clara University and a B.S. in Biological Engineering from Oregon State University.

Divyabh Mishra, Founder & CEO, CrowdANALYTIX

An entrepreneur and seasoned traditional & new age marketing professional with a deep understanding of the analytics industry and its applications for driving business effectiveness. In the past, Divyabh has worked for global companies like Fujitsu, Motorola and played pivotal roles in innovative startups across industries. Divyabh has built CrowdANALYTIX from scratch incubating the core team and delivery model and now focuses on strategy, sales and marketing for the organization. Divyabh is an electrical engineer with a masters in computer science and an MBA from INSEAD.

Immediately following the session, we’ll have a short-networking reception from 5:30 – 6:15PM.  This is the second session in the US-Asia Technology Management Center’s nine week seminar series on “New Value Chains and the Rise of Open Innovation in Asia.”

Presented by the US-Asia Technology Management Center in Stanford’s School of Engineering, with general series support from SunBridge Partners and the Miner Foundation.
