Ryutaro Ichikawa
Global Business Development Manager, ispace
Ryutaro Ichikawa is the Global Business Development Manager at the Japanese startup company ispace, which operates Team HAKUTO in the Lunar XPrize (see <https://lunar.xprize.org/teams/hakuto>). He Mr. Ichikawa joined ispace after spending five years with a Japanese trading company where he was responsible for copper investment projects in Peru. He capitalizes on the skills attained at the trading company to expand ispace’s business in the U.S. He will be relocating to the ispace U.S. office at NASA Research Park next month. He holds a B.A in Law from Keio University. The lunar rover HAKUTO, which means “white rabbit” in Japanese, has already won the $500,000 Mobility Milestone Prize.
Rahul Narayan
Founder, TeamIndus
Rahul Narayan is the Founder and Leader of TeamIndus, the only team from India in the Google Lunar XPrize (see <https://lunar.xprize.org/teams/team-indus>). TeamIndus’ mission is a celebration of all things great about India – an audacious goal, young bright engineers, a can-do entrepreneurial spirit, partners who commit their resources, and a new breed of world-class entrepreneurs. TeamIndus is building a spacecraft capable of soft-landing on the Moon, a mission planned for December 2017. TeamIndus has secured a dedicated PSLV launch vehicle. One of five teams invited to participate in the Milestone Prizes, TeamIndus won a $1M prize for its landing technology.
