The Bright Internet Global Summit (BIGS) is a global forum for discussing the vision, principles, and research into the Bright Internet.  More information on the Bright Internet can be found at <www.brightinternet.org>. The summit is also a channel to derive agreements among stakeholders in the private and public sectors for mutual benefits which cannot be realized by a single country alone. BIGS 2018 in San Francisco is the continuation of BIGS 2017 in Seoul and BICS 2018 in Beijing.  The summit is held in conjunction with the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2018.

Venue: San Francisco Marriott Marquis, 780 Mission St., San Francisco

December 12th – Open to the public

Day 1 is dedicated to industry experts and policy makers, and open to non-AIS members. This workshop will be a good opportunity to learn the trends and issues of the Bright Internet Initiative and the approaches for preventive cybersecurity paradigm and business development. It will also be a good opportunity to meet the key players of the Bright Internet and participate in Q&A, discussions, and networking.

December 13th – Open to Association for Information Systems (AIS) Members

Day 2 is dedicated to academic research presentations and discussions for AIS members. This program will be held as a track of Pre-ICIS Workshop on Information Security and Privacy (WISP).   Registrations for WISP will be provided along with the registration of ICIS2018 at https://icis2018.aisconferences.org.
