Call for Student Research in Green Energy Development: Poster Competition & Cash Awards


Undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. students are invited to participate in an upcoming Student Poster Competition, organized by the Global Green Development Alliance in cooperation with the Stanford US-Asia Technology Management Center.

This competition is a premier opportunity for students to showcase their research on green energy development to a global audience of experts and industry leaders. Those engaged in innovative research—particularly in fields related to technology, sustainability, and management—are encouraged to apply.

The Student Poster Competition will be held at Stanford University on Friday, July 17, 2026 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM as part of the 2026 Global Green Development Summit (GGDS).

Cash prizes available:

  • One Outstanding Award: $600
  • Two First Awards: $450 each
  • Five Second Awards: $300 each

Important Dates: Poster Presentation & Competition (for Accepted Posters)

  • Submission of Student Posters Abstracts: June 15, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: July 1, 2026
  • Submission of camera-ready posters and receipts of the registration fee: July 7, 2026
  • University Student Poster Contest: All the accepted conference posters will be scheduled for a student poster contest from 2-5 PM on July 17, 2026 at Encina Commons 123, Stanford University, CA 94305
  • The 2026 GGDS will hold an award ceremony of the Student Poster Competition Awards on Saturday, July 18, 2026, Stanford University.

Important Notes:

  • Each student can submit one poster. The students are included in the undergraduate and graduate student categories.
  • Authors may submit posters for work that has been published in journals or presented at other scientific meetings.
  • Authors must submit their posters electronically in PDF format to email address: yu.zhang@glogda.org 
High School Students are invited to join the High School Science Poster Contest (Cash prizes)

Cash prizes available for High School Science Poster Contest Awards:

  • One First Place Award: $300
  • One Second Place Awards: $200
  • Five Third place Awards: $100

About the 2026 Global Green Development Summit (GGDS) on Energy Innovation Powering AI for a Green Future:

  • Event Date: Saturday, July 18, 2026
  • Time: 8:30 am to 6:00 pm

The 2026 GGDS will invite distinguished speakers, such as professors, top executives, leading industry experts and professionals from well-known universities, energy companies, utilities, technology solution providers, government, and investment companies.
