Speaker bios:

Gulshan Kumar is a strategic thinker and an exceptional people leader with over 24 years of extensive experience in Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Material Innovations and more. As General Manager at lululemon Taiwan LLO, he is responsible for supply chain management for all global raw material vendors except Americas. Prior to lululemon, Gulshan had been Group Head (Materials) at PUMA, Director of Raw Materials at Calvin Klein (PVH Corp.), to name a few.

Rachel Lau is Managing Partner at RHL Ventures, a private investment firm that focuses on growth capital investments in Southeast Asia and the US. She serves on the board for GNC Holdings (NYSE: GNC) and as President of the Malaysian Gymnastics Federation. Rachel was named as 50 People who are Redefining the Way We Live by Business Times Singapore in 2018, and was selected as Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle.

As Special Assistant to the CEO, Marcel Yang evaluates strategic cross-industry collaboration opportunities for Giant Group. He combines western entrepreneurial and service-oriented perspectives with on-the-ground understanding of eastern traditional industry cultures, to foster novel-yet-sustainable innovations within Giant. Marcel also serves as Category Manager, in charge of all aspects of Youth Bikes businesses at Giant Group.

Dr. Richard Dasher (Moderator) has been Director of the US-Asia Technology Management Center and Adjunct Faculty at Stanford University since 1994. Dr. Dasher is currently an advisor to government S&T funding programs, start-up companies, business accelerators, venture capital firms, and nonprofits in Silicon Valley, Canada, China, India, Japan, S. Korea, and Thailand. He is fluent in Japanese.
