Taro Nakamura

Taro Nakamura received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Kobe University, followed by a master’s degree in Architecture from Kobe University’s Graduate School of Engineering. He joined Mitsui Fudosan and served as a project manager which overseeing the asset management of special purpose companies, which collectively held assets worth approx. $700 million, playing a role in the strategic enhancement of the company’s asset portfolio.

As a Senior manager, Taro also served at Mitsui Fudosan Shanghai Consulting and he led initiatives for purchasing land and negotiating co-investments, expanding the company’s presence in China. He was instrumental in the launch of Mitsui Fudosan’s shopping mall in China, Lalaport Shanghai Jinqiao.

Taro also worked in Mitsui Fudosan’s corporate planning division, and his role expanded  to include leading internal innovation projects and technology-driven business strategies. He planned the company’s open-innovation alliance strategy with the CEO, and also negotiated terms and conditions for business alliances and financial investments with startups from various countries.
