Takashi Okazaki

Takashi Okazaki is the the Head of U.S. R&D, at Nippon Life Insurance Company’s Innovation Center, Nippon Life X.  He is responsible for research and business development, and promoting partnerships between Nippon Life and startup companies for his company’s future business. He is also one of Nippon Life’s first expats when they began their operations in Silicon Valley.

Mr. Takashi has been working at Nippon Life for more than 15 years. Before being assigned to the U.S., he spent 9 years in their Marketing Planning Department, where he was devoted to formulating long-term marketing strategies, planning and executing business alliance strategies, and developing sales support systems utilizing the latest technology etc.

He received his B.A. in Commerce and Management from Hitotsubashi University, Japan.
