JWIBA’s efforts featured in Nikkei

US-ATMC former Visiting Scholars Michiko Ashizawa, Ph.D. and Makiko Kawabe were recently interviewed by Nikkei Newspaper on their work with their nonprofit Japanese Women’s Initiative in the Bay Area (JWIBA). JWIBA’s efforts were featured in the DE&I section of Nikkei including the results from a survey jointly conducted by JWIBA, JETRO San Francisco and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California (JCCNC) in June 2023 regarding the challenges Japanese female expats encounter when they relocate from Japan to the U.S.
